Alfredo Caraballo

Alfredo studied at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Caracas and London Metropolitan University, receiving commendations for his studies in both Venezuela and London. He joined Allies and Morrison in 2004 and became a Partner of the practice in 2015.

Alfredo has worked on a broad range of projects from conceptual stages through to completion both in the UK and abroad. He was part of the team who designed One Vine Street, part of a mixed-use masterplan for the Quadrant, Regent Street, London, as well as being responsible for the delivery of two projects in India: the Prakrithi Rose Hotel in Bangalore, and the Waterline project in Feroke. Alfredo was in charge of the Saifi North project, a new 43,000 sqm residential quarter, ‘District//S’ in central Beirut.

Alfredo is currently involved in several of the practice’s major urban projects. In London, he is leading the design for Keybridge House, a residential-led development in Vauxhall and is contributing to the practice’s work at Canada Water. He heads a large multi-disciplinary team in the design of Muscat’s urban extension in Oman and a significant new high density neighbourhood in Toronto.

Alfredo lectures internationally on architecture and the urban public realm. Since 2017, he has represented Allies and Morrison on the International Council of the Van Alen Institute in New York; and from June 2018, Alfredo has assumed the role of Council co-chair, helping to guide its programming and work in cities around the world.
