Ciaran Garrick

Ciaran studied at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, Aberdeen, Scotland. He gained his ARB registration in 2013 and became a Certified Passive House Designer (CPHD) in 2015. Ciaran joined Allies and Morrison in 2015 and became an Associate of the practice in 2017.

Since joining the practice, he has been involved in the development of our BIM management and co-ordination services, including for the Stratford Waterfront development and Greenwich Peninsula development and provided BIM support across a wide range of projects. He is now working with a number of our Client’s, Design Consultants, Contractors and Facilities Managers, across numerous projects, developing BIM strategies and associated documentation (EIR’s and BEP’s).

Ciaran is developing the practices approach to the utilisation of the BIM data as a means of increasing interdisciplinary collaboration across our projects, through the use of BIM in Cost Estimation, Construction Sequencing and Facilities Management. Ciaran is leading our in-house use of environmental analysis tools, to help inform our sustainability strategies during the early stages of design. Through the integration of BIM and and building energy performance analysis techniques, he is helping to maximise the practices use of digital design tools in the delivery of our projects.

Ciaran is currently leading a collaborative research project that is looking at the potential, and implications, of developing a 44 storey residential tower to the Passive House Standard in the London climate.
