Snape Maltings Masterplan

View all projects

Home of the Aldeburgh Festival, Snape Maltings offers a memorable environment for music set in the coastal landscape in Suffolk. Commissioned following the client's consolidation of ownership over their entire site, the masterplan identifies spaces for new studios, visiting artists and residencies, creative businesses, a National Centre for Music and Wellbeing and a heritage experience centre. Sensitive building and public realm interventions form a long-term strategy to enhance visitor experience and expanding Snape's artistic and public programme while building on the character of this special place.
