Project Prospero, Shakespeare's Globe

View all projects

Following the successful completion of the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, Project Prospero is the next major capital development for Shakespeare's Globe. A new timber clad riverside building will incorporate a new library and archive, production and administration facilities, retail and a generous public entrance. Extensive remodelling of the Globe's below ground spaces will produce a new public exhibition and a suite of rehearsal rooms and education studios. The project aspires to transform the Globe into a global campus for Shakespeare studies, enabling audiences, scholars and the general public to engage at all levels with the work of The Bard on the site he knew best.
