Plot C, Sister

View all projects

This will be one of Manchester’s largest new commercial developments; a range of flexible workspaces designed to attract a variety of start-ups, SMEs, and larger enterprises and innovators are organised across a pair of large, interconnected buildings. Located to mark the entrance to Sister from Manchester Piccadilly station, the characterful new buildings have facades that are similar in their articulation, but distinct in scale and identity. C1’s warm red tones sit comfortably in the red brick context of the Whitworth Street Conservation Area, while the taller C2 stands out as a strong charcoal-grey landmark. The Grade ll listed Holloway Wall, a piece of site-specific public art from the 1960s, will be integrated within a new community focused space on the ground floor of C2.
