Digbeth Vision

View all projects

This masterplan aspires for Digbeth to reach its full potential following the introduction of High-Speed Rail 2 (HS2) in Birmingham. A coordinated vision sets out redevelopment and refurbishment opportunities, with proposals to better integrate Moor Street, a mixed-use development and public square based around a rejuvenated Digbeth Branch Canal; and a 'Digbeth Arches' pedestrian link making use of a pathway beneath the viaduct. Of particular interest has been our exploration of the potential tension between the landowners' financial priorities and the longer-term vibrancy of an area, and the point at which these can intersect.
