Vimal joined Allies and Morrison in 2006 after qualifying as an Architect from The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. He has gained valuable experience from his Part 1 studies at Cambridge University and a year working in Mumbai.
For the practice, Vimal led the design and delivery of the Main Press Centre building for London 2012, running the project on site to practical completion.
More recently, Vimal played an integral role on Wood Wharf, a regeneration masterplan on the Isle of Dogs, coordinating the internal team and contributing to the masterplan design. In addition, Vimal has led work on several phases of a large residential scheme in Cambridge, Trumpington Meadows, successfully gaining planning approval for 161 new homes which are being built on site.
Currently, Vimal is leading our work at Wood Wharf, a regeneration masterplan comprising major residential, community, retail and office buildings, together with significant public realm and infrastructure. He is also overseeing the detail design of two commercial developments as part of the first phase of work.
