Ewan trained at the University of Nottingham, joining Allies and Morrison in 2002, having previously worked in Cambridge. He became a Director of the practice in 2015.
Ewan has worked on a range of projects from conception through to completion. His work has principally involved commercial buildings, from which he has developed an excellent knowledge of all aspects of office design and delivery. Ewan is familiar with advising on design strategy and space efficiency using his detailed understanding of current standards and marker aspirations for the modern workplace.
Ewan was Project Architect on a number of the practice’s key commercial developments, including the award-winning BBC headquarters building at White City and the recently completed Two Pancras Square, a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ office building which is part of the King’s Cross Development.
Ewan has further developed his interest and expertise in the retention and re-use of historic buildings – and their importance within the fabric of the city – as Project Architect for 8-10 Moorgate building, a commercially-led scheme adjacent to the Bank of England. Currently, Ewan is involved in a scheme for new office buildings in Bishopsgate, London.
