Drawing on a rich industrial heritage, this new neighbourhood occupies a key position on the River Thames promontory opposite the O2 Arena. In plan, it forges new connections to emerging communities in the vicinity and benefits from good transport connectivity into central London. Typologically diverse housing is interspersed with retail, restaurants and flexible workspaces. New buildings are arranged around yards and semi-private communal gardens with an architecture that has a robustness with a recognisable roofscape inspired by an understanding of London's historic wharfs, the scale of their buildings and the character of the spaces they create.
