Richard trained at the Bartlett. School of Architecture and Planning and the University of Westminster. He joined Allies and Morrison in 2002.
Richard has a particular interest in construction, making sure that the practical issues of realising projects are considered from the very early stages of the design to ensure that core design criteria can be maintained through the construction stages.
Richard has worked on a range of projects, including being Project Architect for the refurbishment and extension of the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery in Exeter, which has won a number of awards including RIBA South West Building of the Year 2013. He was also Project Architect for the Finlay Building, a new administration building for Merton College, Oxford University, which won a Civic Trust Award.
Currently, Richard is Project Architect for a new station on the Crossrail project at Custom House in Newham, which will serve the suburbs with links to the city and to the East of London.
