On the edge of Lampton Park in west London, a new neighbourhood of 940 homes is emerging on the former site of Hounslow's Civic Centre, an outdated and inefficient 1970's building. As London's first Housing Zone and one of the city's largest affordable housing projects, this project creates a street structure that integrates with the surrounding urban grain, and a robust and delightful variety of buildings to suit different types of tenure and ownership. A series of generous landscaped spaces provide strong pedestrian links through the site to the neighbouring park, school and road.
