Nathan Jones

Associate Director

A hands-on designer, Nathan has a wide range of experience, encompassing a spectrum of architectural and urban design projects from large-scale strategies to the design of new public spaces, through a range of building typologies. He is frequently involved in feasibility studies and planning applications and is adept at helping clients evaluate the capacity and viability of sites for residential and mixed-use developments. Projects currently include Bridge Close, two residential buildings within a masterplan to regenerate an area of Romford town centre, and Phases 2 and 3 of Darwin Green, a residential urban extension to north-east Cambridge.

Nathan is also working on a masterplan for a UNESCO world heritage site in Saudi Arabia.

Nathan trained at Cambridge University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Kingston University and is an experienced studio tutor having previously taught at Cambridge University, London Metropolitan University and MIT.

After a period away from the practice which included time as the director leading 5th Studio’s London office, Nathan returned to Allies and Morrison to focus on design across the practice’s breadth of projects.
