An ancient artistic device, a triptych is a series of three panels used to communicate a sequential narrative of events. Here, it has been used to convey the changing nature of the contemporary urban condition. On the wall behind the late Queen Elizabeth II is a triptych we made depicting London's Olympic and Legacy Masterplans displayed at the Royal Academy of Arts. It depicts a large site as found in the early 2000s, as it was during the Olympic Games (2012) and as it will be in future (2020s and beyond), a piece of city.
