We will be hosting an inaugural three-part conference this autumn on masterplanning and urban change. Using London as an object of inquiry and under the title ‘Citymakers’, we have invited key individuals who have been involved in the iterative process of making or studying the contemporary city. Three sessions moderated by Paul Finch will each explore a different way in which pieces of the city have been changing:

26 September 2019: CATALYTIC urban development with Oliver Wainwright, Patricia Brown, Paul Appleton, Ricky Burdett, Selina Mason and Yolande Barnes

10 October: ORGANIC urban development with Artur Carulla, Deyan Sudjic, Eleanor Kelly, Elizabeth Rapoport and Roger Madelin

24 October: CURATED urban development with Alfredo Caraballo, Ben Rogers, Helen Goodwin, Jason Prior and Robert Evans

Each evening will consist of presentations followed by debates and audience Q&A, the outcomes of which will be included in a research publication.

Participation in Citymakers is by invitation. If you are interested to attend as a member of the audience for any or all of the events, please contact, with subject line Citymakers.
