Southwark, London

The development of Elephant Town Centre Regeneration will create 1,000 new homes aimed at Londoners. They have been developed primarily for the rental sector in partnership with Get Living London 1, 2 and 3 year tenancies to cater to those living and working in London, with a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes across six high-rise buildings and three mansion buildings. The residential towers have evolved to achieve a coherent townscape presence from the surrounding area, with a particular focus on the views from St George’s Road and West Square. The architecture and proposed palette is both responsive to context and contemporary.

With a goal to attracting long-term residents, there is a generous quantum and mix of amenity spaces, both internal and external. Within the buildings, these will include residents’ lounges and a fitness suite to promote well-being. Externally, access to a mix of gardens, terraces and event spaces compliment private balconies. These amenity spaces will be accessible directly from the lift lobby and have access onto the roof gardens/terraces. New homes along Oswin Street are scaled in a way appropriate to the existing line of buildings to create a dual-sided residential neighbourhood street.
