Roman joined Allies and Morrison in 2014 after completing his studies at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in Spain. After studying in Spain, Roman transferred to the University of Bath in 2013 to complete his studies and gain a deeper understanding of the UK architecture system.
Since joining Allies and Morrison, Roman has been acting as Project Architect on a 1.5 million sq ft residential-led mixed-use scheme in London – Vauxhall Square. His involvement stretches from the initial concept design stages to the current development of detailed designs. He was instrumental in the preparation and submission of the most recent planning application, as well as four subsequent minor amendment applications.
The design production information for Vauxhall Square is now being delivered in BIM. Roman was involved in the transition of the project from standard drawing packages to Revit, a BIM modelling software package which he is skilled in the use of.
Roman has always had an interest in residential typologies. His Masters’ thesis explored a high density residential-led mixed-use development in Casablanca. The project created a new interpretation of local traditional architecture, articulating density and human-centred design, whilst responding to the city’s housing needs.
