Miguel studied architecture in Portugal, obtaining his degree from the University of Porto in 2005 and qualifying as a registered architect with the Portuguese Association of Architects (OA) in 2006. Miguel has been a Chartered Member of the RIBA since moving to the UK in 2013.
Miguel has worked on several masterplans at Allies and Morrison since joining in 2013 – a large healthcare campus integrating a clinical and urban masterplan for the Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, a five-million square foot mixed-use development in Toronto, and a competition for a new CBD in Singapore, amongst others. He has also undertook office capacity studies on the station quarter of the Brent Cross masterplan. Miguel has built upon his commercial experience through his role on City Place House, a new building in the City of London and as Project Architect for the office component of a mixed-use scheme in Canada Water, which was recently submitted for planning.
Miguel brings broad cross-sector experience, having designed commercial, residential, healthcare, leisure and education projects through all stages.
