New buildings designed by the practice for Wood Wharf have been unveiled. Working for
Canary Wharf Group since 2014, our masterplanning role has evolved to now include the
design of three buildings. These include 20 Water Street, a flexible office building; 15 Water
Street, incorporating retail and leisure uses, workspace for The Office Group and a hotel for
NoCo and an intermediate tenure housing building overlooking Harbord Square.

Wood Wharf aims to serve a cluster of tech and creative businesses in London, including
provision for small and medium sized enterprises. Crucially, it will also introduce new
housing into the Canary Wharf estate, integrating approximately 3,600 homes – a quarter of
which will be affordable – and providing public spaces for encounter between the area’s
residents, workers and visitors.

The practice’s masterplan for Wood Wharf co-locates complementary uses which are knit
together through a network of parks, open spaces, streets and lanes. Further buildings within
the masterplan are being designed by AHMM, GRID Architects, Herzog & de Meuron, Patel
Taylor, Pilbrow & Partners and Stanton Williams. This eight million sq ft mixed-use scheme is expected to be completed in 2023.
