GUILDFORD TOWN CENTRE VISION SHORTLISTED FOR A PLANNING AWARD 2015
Guildford Town Centre Vision has been shortlisted for a Planning Award 2015 in the Strategic Planning category. The awards are run by the Planning Magazine and Planning Resource.
The masterplan proposals would transform pedestrian connections between the town centre and rail station, reconnecting the historic town to the riverfront through the removal of the gyratory system. In addition the vision identifies space for new homes, jobs and shops and reveals the River Wey with new public spaces and cultural uses that address the waterfront.
The winners will be announced Tuesday 17th November at the awards ceremony in London.
