As active members of Better Bankside, as home to our studio, designers of several local building and public spaces, and through the cafe and gallery which occupy ground floor spaces within our studios, we have built good relationships with our local community.

We donate salvaged re-usable stationery, packaging and computer hardware to local community projects The Children’s Scrap Project, the Work and Play Scrapstore and The Art Academy.

Buildings in the neighbourhood designed by the practice include Rambert, the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare’s Globe, Contemporary Applied Arts, Farnham Place, Paris Gardens, The Crane Building, several buildings on Lavington Street, Hungerford Terrace at Southbank Centre, Bankside 123, Canteen Southbank, the restoration of Royal Festival Hall and our own 85 Southwark Studios.

in 2010, we supported a community production of the Southwark Mystery Plays which was performed in Southwark Cathedral and we participate in programmes that expand awareness of architecture for local schools.
