The scheme provides for the demolition of Station House and the construction of a new mixed-use tall building of 26 storeys, comprising retail uses at ground level, five storeys of office accommodation and twenty storeys of residential containing 260 one and two bedroom apartments.
Elliptical in plan form, the design of the building utilises a layered facade comprising of a glass inner layer providing enclosure to the spaces with a spiralling outer metalwork sleeve that responds to the different environmental requirements of the internal uses.
Winter gardens are provided to each residential unit to provide private amenity space, achieved by the introduction of an articulated inner lining to this part of the facade. A large shared residential roof terrace is created on the top of the building with 360 degree panoramic views across the City and the Olympic Park.
