GROSVENOR WATERSIDE

London

Grosvenor Dock is an inlet of the River Thames, with a natural basin and Victorian lock. Forming the entry to a residential masterplan is a cluster of three buildings that combine residential, gallery and foyer spaces. The geometry of each building is simple but as a group they respond to the irregularities of the site, creating a place of arrival for the dock and forming a strong front to the river.

The two larger buildings are robust brick structures, reflecting the industrial character of the site, with deep reveals and bold projecting balconies. The third building is a pavilion of silver anodised aluminium at the threshold between dock and street.
