GREAT SUFFOLK STREET

Southwark, London

This development provides 230 student rooms arranged in two separate buildings located in the Bankside district of Southwark.

The seven-storey building facing Great Suffolk Street relates in scale to the surrounding city fabric. Constructed in brickwork with aluminium and glass window modules, it includes a retail unit within its fair-faced concrete base. Set behind this, in a courtyard accessed via large gates from the street, is a thirteen-storey tower, clad in storey height aluminium and glazed panels which offset at each floor producing distinctive chequerboard rhythm to the facades.
