FARNBOROUGH BUSINESS PARK

Hampshire

On a disused Royal Aircraft Establishment site, this new business park is set around a central civic square with an airship hangar frame as its centrepiece.

An existing 1930s research building is restored and converted to provide generous, light-filled office space. Now known as The Hub, the building also includes a new internal street at ground floor level which links conference facilities, a cafe and a heritage centre. Two new office buildings, with crisply detailed facades in terracotta, aluminium and glass, are set as a pair to frame a new pedestrian route to Farnborough’s historic quarter beyond.
