Vauxhall Square is a development forming part of the Vauxhall, Nine Elms, Battersea (VNEB) Opportunity Area in Central London. This 1.5 million sqft scheme is truly mixed-use, including residential apartments, offices, a hotel, student accommodation, a cinema, a new homeless hostel, retail and restaurants.

The development incorporates seven main buildings and two pavilion structures and forms a new urban square, as well as a secondary community space and a children’s play-ground on Miles Street. Two 50-storey residential towers, 168 metres in height, form part of a family of buildings which are designed within a simple palette of materials of pre-cast concrete, brick, glass and metalwork.

Consultation for this landmark scheme was considerable, with discussions taking place with the GLA, London Borough of Lambeth, neighbouring London Borough of Wandsworth, Design Council CABE, Transport for London and local resident groups.

The scheme first received detailed planning approval from LB Lambeth in 2012
