The practice opens its design studios on Southwark Street each year as part of London Open House and more than 5000 visitors have been welcomed over the last eight years.

 

Activities in Bankside include improving the public realm locally with schemes for Farnham Place to the rear of Southwark Street and at Winchester Gardens.

 

In support of The Campaign for Drawing, architects and modelmakers run drawing workshops for local primary school children as part of the annual Big Draw event.

 

As RIBA Trust/Arts Inform Architects in Residence at Tower Bridge Primary School, the practice has piloted a Maths through Architecture project run by architect and teacher partnerships to be launched to schools across the country.

The practice sponsors the Architectural Professorship at Cambridge University and offers internships to architectural students from the University of Qatar and bursaries to students who need some financial assistance with their studies.

 

Several partners, directors and associates lecture, teach or act as visiting critics at schools of architecture in the UK and worldwide.

 

The studio runs a programme of training for Part 1 and Part 2 students and offers work experience to GCSE and A level students considering a career in architecture.

 

In support of the Microloan Foundation in Malawi, the practice is constructing a training centre in Kasungu that assists women to become self-sufficient by launching small businesses.
