Sonia Dasoar

Sonia graduated with honours from Manchester School of Architecture and completed her architectural studies at Kingston University. She joined Allies and Morrison in 2011, becoming an Associate of the practice in 2017. A professionally qualified Architect, Sonia has experience across all stages of design and delivery in a variety of residential, mixed-use, and hospitality schemes, as well as masterplanning and urban design.

Her work has focused on large scale and complex contextual residential projects from planning stage through to construction. These include a 27 unit scheme within the 1,400 unit Gascoigne Estate regeneration masterplan, the Royal Arsenal residential masterplan in Woolwich for Berkeley Homes, and Trumpington Meadows, a masterplan and several phases of architecture for a mixed tenure village of houses and apartments to the south of Cambridge.

Most recently, Sonia was project architect from planning to completion for the technically complex and challenging conversion of a former 8 storey library building into new apartments at Kidderpore Avenue, a residential development within Hampstead Conservation Area.

Sonia has also worked on a range of urban design schemes, including the Olympic Legacy masterplan, contributing to the outline planning application and design codes for the project, which uses the London 2012 Olympic investment as a catalyst for creating sustainable communities in the Lea Valley.  She was also involved in the outline planning application and design codes for a major retail-led redevelopment of a key central Croydon site for Westfield.
