Simon French

Simon studied at London Southbank University and the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. He joined Allies and Morrison in 2000 and became a Director of the Practice in 2015. Simon has extensive knowledge of the design and construction projects using BIM software.

Simon has a wide range of experience within the practice, ranging from large scale transport infrastructure to high value cultural/civic buildings. He was Project Architect for the refurbishment and alteration to the Grade II Listed Great Northern Hotel, part of the wider masterplan at King’s Cross Central, London.

For the last few years, Simon’s focus has been on large scale residential developments with him recently being Project Architect on the final two phases of the practice’s Waterside Park project, a residential development comprising of 151 units and two courtyard blocks next to the Thames Barrier.

Currently, Simon is Project Director for Aldgate Place, a mixed-use scheme comprising of three 20 plus storey residential towers, a hotel, retail and significant public realm adjacent to the City of London in Aldgate East.
