Paddy Dillon

Paddy is a Director at Allies and Morrison, and a leading specialist in performance buildings.

While at Haworth Tompkins he led NT Future, the £80m regeneration of the National Theatre, completed in 2015, which included the creation of a new production building, the refurbishment of the Dorfman Theatre, and regeneration of public foyers. NT Future also involved construction of The Shed, an iconic new temporary theatre. His other projects have included regeneration of Snape Maltings to make the Hoffmann Building and Britten Studio, the Kiln Studio and the Dovecot, a working space for artists.

Current schemes include a new, 1,200 seat theatre in Kent, the Attenborough Theatre, a performance venue for the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and a new studio building for the Roundhouse.

Paddy is architectural trustee of the Theatres Trust.

Outside of architecture, Paddy is a noted author, having published six books and written journalism for a number of publications including The Sunday Times and Intelligent Life.
