Maria studied at the University of Nottingham with a year-out placement in Athens and worked for a small practice in London before joining Allies and Morrison in 2010. She obtained her Part III professional qualifications at London Southbank University in 2012.
Since joining the practice Maria has worked on a number of mixed-use residential developments including the redevelopment of the Listed former Shredded Wheat factory near Welywn Garden City and Waterside Park, a significant residential masterplan adjacent to London’s Thames Barrier.
Maria has been involved in the Legacy Communities Scheme, assisting with the illustrative design and definition of design guidelines for the Legacy Neighbourhoods which forms the basis of future developments within the Olympic Park. Maria also managed a team who produced a detailed design proposal for a mixed-use area of the Olympic Park with its own brief and budget.
Maria has most recently been engaged in Aldgate Place, a residential-led, mixed-use development in the City of London, including three residential towers, a hotel and office block. Phase 1 is now on site and Maria is leading Phase 2, delivering Stage E and tender documentation and preparing for construction in 2016.
