Indu Ramaswamy

Following completion of her training at North East London and North London Polytechnic, Indu practised as an architect in the UK, India and Hong Kong before joining Allies and Morrison in 1998.

She was Project Architect on a number of projects, including South Hill Park, a conversion of a Grade II listed eighteenth century country house into an arts centre in Berkshire, and No 6 Brindleyplace, an office building which forms part of the Brindleyplace masterplan in Birmingham city centre.

In 2005 Indu obtained a law degree and is now responsible for practice legal affairs, including appointment negotiations and site issues. She was made a Director of the practice in 2010.

Indu is a member of the RIBA’s insurance panel. She is also a lecturer and examiner on the Part 3 Architecture courses at Westminster University, Southbank University and RIBA North West. Within the practice, she co-ordinates work experience students and organises the studio’s annual participation in the London ‘Open House’ weekend.
