Hayden joined Allies and Morrison in 2011 after working in New Zealand. He studied at Victoria University of Wellington where he was awarded the ‘Medal of Academic Excellence’ and received a ‘New Zealand Institute of Architects Student Design Award’. Hayden became an Associate Director of the practice in 2015.
At Allies and Morrison, Hayden has worked on numerous high quality commercial and residential schemes developing them from concept stage through to construction. He was Project Architect for a series of office and retail buildings as part of the Msheireb Heart of Doha project in Qatar and adopted a monitoring role through to delivery of the design intent on site. Hayden is also Project Architect for a series of larger UK residential schemes including the Mount Pleasant project comprising three medium rise buildings within a wider masterplan for a complex London Site.
More recently Hayden has developed the detailed design and construction information for 4 Kingdom Street, a large commercial office building in Paddington where he led the team from planning stage through to construction. Hayden’s site experience and construction knowledge informs his design approach and through his diverse project involvement he has established a strong understanding of housing typologies, planning policy, building regulations and technical delivery enabling him to efficiently develop projects to a high standard.
