Project Prospero: introducing new architecture at Shakespeare’s Globe

Allies and Morrison can reveal that we have been working as architect on Project Prospero, an exciting expansion of Shakespeare's Globe. The project's ambition is for the Globe to become an international Shakespeare hub, involving the redevelopment of its library and archive into a world-class research centre and creating a new exhibition centre for its unique collection, serving students, researchers and collaborators from around the world, along with new education studios, a production centre and reinvigorated backstage facilities.

Upcoming exhibition: Madinat al Irfan, an Urban Centre in Oman

Our next studio exhibition will open on 20 September, held in association with Bankside Design District at the London Design Festival. Entitled Madinat al Irfan, an Urban Centre in Oman, it will explore the design ideas behind our masterplan for a new city in Oman. It will feature drawings, sketches and models and places the project within the context of the New Urban Agenda, the framework for more liveable cities recently adopted by the United Nations.

Architecture Tours at Open House London 2017

Architects from Allies and Morrison will be giving architecture tours at three buildings at this year’s Open House London, on 16-17 September. Tours will be on offer at our own studios and at two recently completed office buildings designed by the practice – White City Place and Four Kingdom Street.
