‘Schools of Art’ with Dulwich Picture Gallery

Allies and Morrison’s second annual exhibition with Dulwich Picture Gallery has opened at our Southwark Street studios. Entitled ‘Schools of Art’, the exhibition features artwork from primary and secondary students from nine Southwark schools who participated in the Gallery’s Drawing Skills programme, which is supported by the practice.

Madinat al Irfan named ‘Big Urban Project’ of the future

Madinat al Irfan, the new urban district in Oman masterplanned by Allies and Morrison, has won the award for best ‘Big Urban Project’ at The Architectural Review Future Project Awards at MIPIM, the annual property exhibition and conference in Cannes.

Pall Mall Exchange: A new Commercial Centre for Liverpool

The practice's design for a new £200m development on the Pall Mall Exchange site in Liverpool has been unveiled by Liverpool City Council. Working for Kier Construction and CTP Ltd, who have been awarded the tender to develop the site, Allies and Morrison has designed a scheme that will quadruple the supply of Grade A+ office space in the city centre.

Dancy House: New boarding house for Marlborough College

The design for a new boarding house at Marlborough College, Wiltshire, has secured planning permission. Called Dancy House and designed by Allies and Morrison, the new building will primarily accommodate female students as the school looks to increase the proportion of girls in education. The new building takes its name from a former headmaster of the College, John Christopher Dancy, who led Marlborough at the time co-education was introduced in 1968.

New appointment: Cambridge Biomedical Campus

The University of Cambridge has appointed a team led by Allies and Morrison to develop masterplan proposals for its Biomedical Campus. The new effort will establish a framework within which the University can develop more accommodation for teaching, research and clinical facilities in the life sciences, which will include a major hub for neuroscience.

Dublin Airport Central gains planning permission

The Dublin Airport Central development, a scheme in collaboration with a team of consultants led by PM Group for the Dublin Airport Authority, has been granted planning permission from An Bord Pleanála, Ireland’s strategic planning body.
