Ashden Awards 2017: Celebrating sustainable energy innovation

Allies and Morrison is delighted to have been included in the 2017 Ashden Awards longlist. The Ashden Awards recognise organisations that make a positive contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption in the work they do, whether in the UK or overseas. Forty-eight entities in total, from public sector bodies to community initiatives to consultancies and companies, have been recognised.

Bob Allies has been appointed Visiting Professor of Architecture at University of Reading. The University’s new School of Architecture opened in September 2016 with a commitment to give students industry experience through interaction with leading architects in practice.

New work: Hampstead School of Art

Allies and Morrison have completed the new home of the Hampstead School of Art. The School sits at the heart of the Kidderpore Green development, a complex two-phase neighbourhood of new homes situated in the Redington and Frognal Conservation Area close to Hampstead. The new building will allow the School to continue to play a vital role in the local community, and in turn, its development and cultural life.

Allies and Morrison wins competition to masterplan Snape Maltings

Allies and Morrison has won an invited competition to masterplan the Snape Maltings site in Suffolk. The new plan aims to fulfil the ambition for a unified creative campus following the acquisition of the entire site by the charity Aldeburgh Music, who have now renamed themselves Snape Maltings.
